The CT DEC, in partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service hosted Governor Ned Lamont and CT Legislative leadership for the first ever CT Export Roundtable with over 30 CT Manufactures.

The CT DEC in partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service hosted a reverse trade mission with ten education consultants from Mexico. The delegation visited six school throughout the state in hopes to increase international student recruitment from Mexico to CT.

Erin Donahue, Trade Commissioner for Defense and Ocean Technologies at the Canadian Consulate in Boston, will provide an overview of the Canadian ocean technology industry. Highlighting recent initiatives, such as the Ocean Supercluster, she will discuss how government and industry in Canada are collaborating to foster innovation in the ocean economy. She will also discuss synergies between Canada and New England’s ocean industries and highlight opportunities for cross-border collaboration.

The Connecticut District Export Council and Congressman Joe Courtney awarded the CT DEC Export Recognition Award to RapidPurge and Tower Laboratories Ltd.

Please join the U.S. Commercial Service, Connecticut District Export Council and University of Connecticut School of Business. This seminar will assist Connecticut firms learn how to prepare, process and navigate export documentation. This workshops will focus on the principal documents required for exports shipments. It will also include some tips on how to navigate export.gov and find useful information. The understanding of the various types of export documents and how they are used has helped many companies streamline their internal processes, simplifying the export process, and leading to increased profits.

On Wednesday, September 25, 2019, fifteen Connecticut defense firms were showcased at the Hart Senate Office Building in Washington, DC. Over 60 defense attaches from 23 countries attended the program to discuss the Connecticut firms’ products, technologies, and the current procurement needs of each country’s defense forces.
